When I watch grapplers, my brain switches perspective, and I look at it more from the perspective of self-defense in a 1-on-1 situation versus a better striker. In striking, you can learn the basics and with tons of practice, a litte athleticism and real competitive sparring you can get great. Defensive grappling and stalling is easy to learn and can be drilled constantly. Sparring too much can be a detriment to your health in a big way.
